Requirements
Grade 12 certificate with at least 2 years' experience in general support or a minimum of grade 10 with at least 5 years' experience. Must be prepared to work under pressure and to work shifts (Night, weekends and Public holidays).
Duties
Ensuring that issuing and delivering of clean linen to relevant departments is done timeously. Receiving of clean linen from outsourced laundries. Packing of clean linen in the shelves, controlling and monitoring of minimum and maximum stock available in the linen from wards, sorting out and counting of soiled linen before sending for washing. Making follow up on the linen not received back. Sluicing of stained linen. Queries to assist in the process of stock taking and weekly spots checks. Cleaning of linen trolleys before and after use. Supervise linen staff and all activities relative to quality laundry/linen management and also assist with procurement process for linen replacement. Ensure that ideal Hospital Framework and Realization, Batho Pele Principles, patient's Rights and OHS Act are upheld Contributes to management of complaints and patient safety incidents. Perform any other duties as delegated.
